EXPLORE COLLECTION →Rooted in India's timeless strength traditions, MyPowerClubs brings traditional training tools into the modern world — combining craftsmanship, movement and discipline for everyday strength practice.
Every piece begins with carefully selected wood and traditional craftsmanship. Our equipment is shaped with attention to balance, strength and form.
The raw wood is carefully shaped, turned and refined to create the distinctive form of traditional Indian training equipment.
Each piece is sanded, polished and finished to reveal the natural character of the wood while creating a smooth and durable surface.
Every product is inspected for balance, finish, construction and overall quality before it leaves our workshop.
Once approved, each piece is carefully protected and packed so it reaches you in the same condition it left our hands.
Your equipment is prepared for dispatch and shipped directly to your doorstep, ready for your training journey.
Everything you need to know about MyPower Club, our products and traditional Indian strength training.
A Mudgar also known as a Gada, Mugdar, or Indian clubbell is a traditional Indian strength training tool with an uneven weight distribution that's swung, lifted, and rotated to build functional strength. Because of that off-center weight, a single Mudgar workout develops grip strength, improves flexibility and joint mobility through swinging and circular movements, and sharpens mental focus and mind-body coordination. It's a full-body tool: swings and presses engage your shoulders, core, back, arms, and legs in one continuous movement which is exactly why generations of Indian wrestlers and warriors trained with it long before "functional fitness" became a modern buzzword.
Beginners should generally start in the 5–10kg range and gradually increase weight as they become comfortable with the technique. At MyPower Club, our Beginner's Kit follows this exact principle a 5–6kg Mudgar, 7–8kg Hanuman Gada, and 8–10kg Samtola so you can build proper control before progressing to our Advanced Kit (6–7kg Mudgar, 9–10kg Gada) or heavier Hanuman Gadas up to 20kg. Because these tools generate torque rather than just straight-line resistance, they'll always feel heavier than a dumbbell of the same weight so starting lighter than you think you need is the safer, smarter approach.
Neither replaces the other they train different qualities. Mudgar training improves movement quality while gym training builds strength capacity, and the two work best as complements rather than competitors. Dumbbells are better for isolating and progressively overloading a single muscle at a measurable pace. A Mudgar or Gada, on the other hand, forces your core, shoulders, and grip to work together at once, building the kind of functional, real-world strength that a fixed dumbbell path can't replicate. If your goal is raw muscle isolation, stick with weights if you want strength, mobility, and coordination in one tool, traditional Indian equipment is hard to beat.
Yes. The mudgar targets multiple muscle groups especially the core, arms, shoulders, and legs and the swinging, lifting, and rotating movements engage those muscles to promote strength, endurance, and muscle growth over time with consistent training. It won't build muscle in exactly the same way as heavy barbell lifting, but for functional strength, grip, and a more athletic overall physique, it's a proven, centuries-old method not a fitness fad.
At MyPower Club, every Indian club, Mudgar, Hanuman Gada, Bheem Gada, Samtola, and Persian Meel is handcrafted by skilled local craftsmen in India using traditional techniques and high-quality wood not mass-produced. We ship worldwide: orders are typically dispatched within 2–3 business days, with delivery taking roughly 7–21 business days depending on your country (customs duties, where applicable, are the customer's responsibility). Whether you're in India or ordering internationally, you're getting the same tools used in traditional akhara training, made the same way they always have been.
